The SPQR Fund provides mini-grants that allow Centro students to deepen their experience of Rome through cultural, academic, and experiential opportunities beyond the classroom.

The SPQR Fund: Expanding the Centro Experience

Each semester, a number of students attend the Centro with the help of financial aid, ensuring that tuition, room, and board do not stand in the way of this life-changing academic experience. But as every Centrista knows, studying abroad is about far more than the classroom. It is also about discovering the richness of Italian culture through shared meals, performances, travel, exhibitions, and moments of exploration that shape students personally as well as intellectually.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends of the Centro, the SPQR Fund helps make these broader cultural experiences possible. Through small grants and special opportunities, the fund allows students to participate more fully in the life of Rome and Italy, deepening their understanding of the ancient world while creating memories and connections that will stay with them for decades to come.
