Giving Opportunities

Centro Annual Fund
Provides unrestricted funding to enhance student life and learning. Assists with scholarships, field trips, and general program needs.

Centro Endowed Scholarships
Provides need-based scholarships to outstanding students who would not otherwise be able to participate in the program. Scholarships may be named in honor of the donor or others. Donors will be recognized with a marble plaque at the Centro headquarters in Rome and in our publications.

SPQR Fund
Supports cultural experiences and special opportunities that enrich life beyond the classroom, helping students engage more deeply with the art, history, and traditions of Italy. Learn more about past SPQR grants and ways to contribute here.

Stock Transfer Information for Gifts to The Centro

Gifts of publicly traded securities that have appreciated in value allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while also receiving a tax deduction for your gift. The Centro benefits by selling the stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you benefit from making a contribution that would be larger than what you might have been able to donate in cash.
